## What this page is

This is Klook's route page for the Tokyo to Kyoto bullet train. It shows the timetable for a chosen date and sells tickets for the Shinkansen. The route is direct, with no transfers, and the page gives the shortest journey as 2 hours.

## Which train is which

The page describes three services on the Tokaido Shinkansen. Nozomi is the fastest at about 2 hours 15 minutes, Hikari takes about 2 hours 40 minutes, and Kodama is the slowest at about 3 hours 40 minutes because it stops at every station. When we read it, 351 trains were scheduled for 14 October 2026, the first at 06:00 and the last at 21:31, leaving from Tokyo Station or Shinagawa Station.

## What the tickets include

The departures shown carry two notes: QR code boarding and a changeable ticket. Klook does not set out the change rules on the page, so read the conditions at checkout before you rely on changing the time.

## Prices

The page gives ticket prices between US$84.30 and US$163.48 in different places, depending on the train, the type of car and the time, and says the final price is on the checkout page. Treat the range as a guide, not a quote.

## The alternatives it mentions

The page compares the Shinkansen with a regular train on the Tokaido Main Line, which it says makes over 100 stops and needs at least four transfers, with a highway bus that is cheaper but much slower, and with flying, which it says can take a similar total time once airport transfers and security are counted.

## When it fits

It suits a first trip between the two cities when you want the fastest direct option and a booked time. If you have no fixed schedule, compare it with the bus page on this site.
