Lisbon to Porto: fly or take the train?

The train is usually the better choice on this route. Alfa Pendular services run city centre to city centre in around three hours, against a one-hour flight that requires two airport transfers and security either side. Flying only makes sense when connecting onward from Porto to an international departure.
