Tokyo to Kyoto by Shinkansen

There is no useful flight on this route. The Tokaido Shinkansen covers it in a little over two hours, departing Tokyo Station at high frequency throughout the day. Nozomi services are fastest but are excluded from the Japan Rail Pass; Hikari services are covered and add roughly twenty minutes.
